 In the scenic Sierra Nevadas, you'll find our mountain haven just two miles east of Calaveras Big Trees      State Park on Highway 4. Let our natural forest setting provide you with the ultimate camping experience. Make our resort your home base while exploring the many facets of the historic Mother Lode.. the former haunt of Mark Twain, Joaquin Murieta, the gentleman bandit Black Bart, Snowshoe Thompson, Rebecca Dorrington and Monty Wolfe.

  Accommodations

  Surrounded by 400 acres of forest, the resort has ample full hookups, and all RV spaces have water and electricity. A picnic table is provided with barbecue pit and fire ring. There are large separate areas for tents. Or take a real break and use  one of our fully equipped rental cabins... just bring a bed roll, linens and food!
  No longer limited to overnight traffic, the current management has added the option of vacation leases. Located 1 ½ to 3½ hours from Modesto, Stockton, Sacramento and the Bay Area, it is perfectly situated for the person who wishes to use their RV all year. A vacation lease offers city dwellers the opportunity to have a mountain vacation home at a reasonable price. We have been told that Golden Pines offers something priceless to its customers… a combination of warmth and friendliness in a naturally beautiful setting that is unobtainable in the city.

  Groups

  Our recreation hall with fireplace, hot showers , restrooms, laundry facilities and TV make our park the perfect "home base" for all your vacation activities. The RV Club Circle features an outdoor community fire pit and barbecue. Equipped with kitchen facilities, the Sierra Room can be reserved for pot-luck dinners or activities (except on major holidays). Be sure to make your reservations in advance! 
   
   
   
   

  Summer Events

  Relax under the pines and enjoy many of the amenities offered here at Golden Pines. Take a swim in our sparkling pool, and lounge on the  deck.
  Play a game of volleyball or table tennis, toss around some horseshoes, we have a playground and table games for the kids

  Winter Events

  For winter sports enthusiasts, Bear Valley and Mt. Reba are only minutes away. Find a family ski and play area just 7 miles from the resort, and snowmobiles for rent nearby. A special rate is offered in the winter season for those who use their RV or camper as a "ski cabin". After an exciting day of skiing, enjoy our wide screen TV,  or maybe just relax around the fireplace in our newly remodeled Sierra Room.

  Local Attractions

  

  Have you ever seen a tree big enough to drive a car through? Calaveras Big Trees State Park is only two miles down the road. Fish San Antonio Creek, White Pines Lake, Uttica Reservoir, or the beautiful North Fork of the Stanislaus River. Take your boat to Spicer Reservoir or rent one on New Melones Reservoir or Lake Alpine. Maybe a game of golf… horseback riding, rock hounding, hunting, river running or gold panning. Descend into a spectacular cavern… enjoy a music festival or sports event ... attend a cooking seminar or craft faire. Spend the day exploring the  20  fine local wineries and breweries. There are events in our area all year round, from the Calaveras County Jumping Frog Festival to winter skiing in Bear Valley and Mt. Reba.
